Our local beaches offer stunning coastal views, golden sands, and clear waters. Ideal for surfing, swimming, or relaxing, they're a great place to spend your holiday.

4 Miles

Crackington Haven is the closest beach to Cargurra Farm and it is a long pebbly beach that boasts excellent surf and rock pooling. There is parking directly opposite with several cafes on the beach front. Do check the tide times as when it is high tide there is very little beach to enjoy. There is a lifeguard present in high season. Crackington Haven is dog free from Easter day to the 1st October.

10 Miles

Towards Bude, you’ll find Widemouth Bay and Black Rock, forming one long beach. Widemouth Bay offers a vast sandy shoreline (with some pebbles depending on the time of the year), ideal for families with activities like swimming, surfing, and beachcombing. With ample parking, lifeguards in high season, and a dog-friendly area at Black Rock, it’s perfect for all-day enjoyment.

Summerleaze Beach in Bude is a wide, sandy beach known for its picturesque views and family-friendly atmosphere. Just a short walk from Bude town centre, it offers a tidal sea pool that’s perfect for safe swimming. The beach is also popular for surfing, paddleboarding, and relaxing on its golden sands, with lifeguards on duty during the summer months. 

17 Miles

Sandymouth Beach, located a few miles north of Bude, is a stunning, unspoiled beach known for its dramatic cliffs, rocky outcrops, and expansive stretch of sand at low tide. The beach is popular for its wild, natural beauty, making it a great spot for long walks, rock pooling, and exploring its unique geological features. 

11 Miles

Trebarwith Strand, about a mile from Tintagel and accessible by the coastal footpath, is a versatile beach ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and surfing, with abundant rock pools. At low tide, it reveals a nearly half-mile stretch of golden sand, with ample parking and good facilities. 

20 Miles

Polzeath, located within the Camel Estuary, offers long, slow-breaking waves ideal for beginner and intermediate surfers, with superb conditions in summer. It’s also great for swimming and rock pooling, with lifeguards on duty during high season. The beach is dog-free from Easter to October 1st.

A short drive from Cargurra Cottages, Rock Beach is one of Cornwall’s most beautfil beaches, its family-friendly waters are perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, and beach games. Super calm waters and sandy stretches make it ideal for a relaxing day by the sea, and there are plenty of nearby cafés for hungry tums. 

24 Miles

Daymer Bay, nestled between Rock and Polzeath at the Camel Estuary’s mouth, offers calm waters ideal for swimming, windsurfing, paddleboarding, and canoeing. Its wide, sheltered beach is perfect for families with young children. You can enjoy scenic walks to Rock, then take a foot ferry to Padstow. Lifeguards are on duty during high season.
